This creamy broccoli Alfredo pasta is a simple, satisfying dinner made with tender broccoli, elbow macaroni, and rich Alfredo sauce. It is a great family-style meal for busy nights and comes together with minimal prep.
Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add the olive oil and salt. At the same time, steam the broccoli until just tender but still bright green, then set it aside.

Cook the elbow macaroni in the boiling water according to the package directions until al dente. Drain well and return the pasta to the pot.

Add the steamed broccoli, Alfredo sauce, and the water used to rinse out the sauce jars. Stir over low heat until the pasta is evenly coated and the sauce is hot and creamy. Serve immediately.
If the sauce feels too thick, loosen it with a splash of pasta water or milk. Do not oversteam the broccoli or it can turn mushy. Leftovers keep well in the refrigerator for up to 3 days and can be reheated gently on the stovetop or in the microwave.
