Juicy, oven-roasted pork tenderloin seared to perfection and smothered in a sticky, sweet-and-savory honey garlic glaze. This quick and elegant main dish is perfect for busy weeknights or impressive dinner parties.
Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, cider vinegar, and soy sauce to create the glaze.
In a separate small bowl, combine the garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Rub this spice mixture evenly over the pork tenderloins.
Heat olive oil in a large oven-proof skillet over high heat. Add the pork and sear for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown all over.
When the pork is almost finished searing, push it to the side of the skillet. Add the minced garlic and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant and golden.
Pour the honey garlic sauce into the skillet. Turn the pork once to coat it, then immediately transfer the skillet to the preheated oven.
Roast for 15-18 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 68°C (155°F).
Remove the pork from the skillet and place it on a plate. Cover loosely with foil and let it rest for 5 minutes.
While the pork rests, place the skillet with the remaining sauce back on the stove over medium-high heat. Simmer rapidly for about 3 minutes until the liquid reduces into a thin, syrupy glaze.
Remove the skillet from the heat. Return the pork to the pan and turn it to coat thoroughly in the thickened glaze.
Slice the tenderloin into thick rounds and serve immediately with the extra sauce drizzled on top.
Use an instant-read meat thermometer to ensure the pork stays juicy and doesn't overcook. If you don't have an oven-proof skillet, sear the pork in a regular pan and transfer it to a baking dish along with the sauce for the roasting step.
