
Preheat the oven to 200°C/400°F and line a cupcake pan with paper liners. Wash the oranges well, cut each one into quarters, remove the seeds, and place the orange pieces in a blender.

Add the orange juice, milk, sugar, vegetable oil, butter, eggs, and vanilla to the blender. Blend until the mixture is smooth and the orange peel is finely broken down.



In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Pour in the blended orange mixture and stir just until no dry streaks remain; avoid overmixing so the cupcakes stay tender.



Divide the batter among the cupcake liners, filling each about two-thirds full. Sprinkle chocolate chips over the tops, then bake for 18-22 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool before serving.
